Incorporating enchanting tables into your build can sometimes be difficult due to how restrictive bookshelf placement is. Better Enchantment Boosting relaxes those restrictions a little to allow for greater flexibility when designing your enchanting area.

Enchantment Boosting:

By default, you can now place bookshelves 3 blocks away horizontally, 2 blocks above, and 1 block below the enchanting table, but this can be changed in the config. Individual candles can now provide 1/4 enchantment power (4 in a block provides 1) including candles on a cake. Chiseled bookshelves now provide 1/6 per filled slot. For comparison, a vanilla bookshelf provides 1 power.

Enchantment Influencing:

Enchanted books placed in a chiseled bookshelf can influence the enchanting table, increasing the likelihood to roll that enchantment based on the total power to the table (max 30) and the item's enchantability. Using a book with a higher level will also increase the maximum level that the table can roll. This feature can be enabled in the config, along with options for treasure enchants and curses to influence the table.

Q&A:

Q) Can you port this to other loaders/previous Minecraft versions?
A) No, I would rather avoid working on multiple codebases for the same mod.

Q) When is the next update coming out?
A) I don't give ETAs as I don't stick to a regular schedule when modding.

Q) Can you add x/y/z?
A) If I feel like adding x/y/z is worth my time and fits the mod.
