Better Fusion Reactor is an addon for Mekanism Generators

Supported versions: 1.12.2, 1.16.5, 1.18.2, 1.19.2

The idea behind this addon is to bring Fusion Reactor from Mekanism a bit more realistic and more challenging to manage.

In real life fusion reaction is very difficult thing and humanity is not yet achieved stable long-term reaction.

By installing this addon you will have to control certain parameters of Fusion Reactor with redstone, computers or manually.

And as higher temperatures as harder to maintain stable reaction.

This addon adds new UI for reactor controller and reactor logic port.

You will have to re-build current reactors if you have any with blocks from this mod.

What is all about?

Your task is to keep Current Reactivity (CT) as close as possible to Target Reactivity (TR) And by that you will get better Reaction Efficiency. That means more energy output, or steam per tick, or heat.

If Efficiency less than 80%, the Error Level will grow up. And if Error Level reaches 100%, Reactor will shutdown. It also can go BOOM 💥 if that is enabled in config. (disabled by default)

If Efficiency greater than 80%, the Error Level will slowly fall down.

Keep in mind Target Reactivity is a random value between 0 and 100, and it changes periodically.

So you can't just ignite your reactor and walk away. You has to spend some time to controll it manually, or implement sort of automation logic on redstone or computers.

Pay attention to Heat Multiplier (Hm). Less value means bigger time span between Target Reactivity reset.

And it also affects how fast Error Level changes. So for the manual control, try to keep it closer to 0.

Heat Multiplier depends on plasma temperature. Play with injection rate and you will find the best value.

It also depends on cooling type. Water cooling - less Heat Multiplier.

But if you want to get more energy, you have to automate reactor controlling. Good Luck.
